CAPTURE, ISOLATION and DIAGNOSTIC of biological and nano agents
Theme 1 - Measuring
Areas where we can deliver:
1.
We have experience and capacity in the generation of recognition molecules (whole antibody, antibody fragments and Nucleic acid aptamers) for application across CAPTURE, ISOLATION and DIAGNOSTIC platforms. Allowing sample collection and enrichment, enhanced signal for detection and greater identification and discrimination of biological agents.
In house generation and assessment of specificity, affinity and assay performance and optimisation of sample capture and presentation, ELISA, LFA, and HD-array assays.
2.
Skilled and experienced in the physio-chemical characterisation, in vitro (bacterial and mammalian) and in vivo (zebrafish) modelling of metallic nanoparticle interactions.
National University of Ireland, Galway (http://www.nuigalway.ie/)
Our research team is based within the newly constructed Biomedical Sciences Building at NUI Galway. It is a dedicated research building housing several National Centre's, including CÚRAM, an SFI Research Centre designing the next generation of ‘smart’ medical devices.
We are happy to share discussion and open potential collaboration with interested research groups and organisations.
