Theme 2 - Evaluating
We offer our expertise in the design and computational applications in “evaluation, measuring and taking actions” stages of large-scale environmental problems using open source CFD codes on cloud computing centers. Our computational expertise can be utilized for “evaluation and measuring” stage analysis and it is in optimal sensor placement for data collection and measurement in engineered or environmental systems such as water distribution systems or river basin applications and the like. Our design expertise can be utilized for “taking action” stage analysis and it is in in water treatment systems applications where we have European Patent Office (EPO) patented (2019) water treatment plant designs for the enhancement of disinfection efficiency of water treatment contact tanks. In these systems we have developed a second-order disinfection applications for the evaluation and treatment of both disinfection process and formation of disinfection by-products in a full-scale chlorine contact tanks. As Design and Simulation Technologies (D&STECH) (http://www.dstechno.net/), we can contribute to the project in data collection, design, evaluation, validation stages of the investigation for large scale environmental applications of removal of pathogens.
