Theme 2 - Evaluating
The scientific Laboratory of chemical and toxicological threats, within the National Public Health Agency, is accredited for carrying out scientific-practical research in the field of Hygiene with a high level of economic and social relevance, also, performance and visibility at international level. The activity of the laboratory is directed to the evaluation of the population's health in relation to the exogenous risks generated by the toxicological, chemical, biological, hydrological factors, etc.
Our researchers participated on various projects regarding the risks conditioned by water quality parameters (surface and depth) for the population health. We work in close collaboration with the practical laboratories, nationally and internationally accredited for carrying out microbiological, sanitary / hygienic / chemical and toxicological investigations, which allows us to evaluate a wide range of parameters.
We are interested in joint projects focused on assessing the level of emerging contaminants in surface water (cross-border rivers) and their impact on human health.
The National Agency for Public Health is the administrative authority competent for substantiating public health policies and strategies, participates in the drafting of sanitary regulations, methodologies and other acts, provides specialized methodological-practical support, activities and expertise in the field public health.
