micropollutants, emerging chemical pollutants, pharmaceuticals, wastewater treatment, water reuse
Theme 3 - Taking Actions
We have successfully completed many national and international research projects on wastewater treatment and water reuse. We conducted the first and most important research on occurrence, removal, and transformation of CECs in wastewater and sludge by Advanced Biological Treatment, Stabilization Ponds and Constructed Wetlands with the support of The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBÄ°TAK) in Turkey.
We are looking for partners to submit a project on call comprises three main themes:
Theme 1 - Environmental behaviour of emerging pollutants, pathogens and antimicrobial resistant bacteria in aquatic ecosystems (“Measuring”)
Theme 2 - Risk Assessment and Management of emerging pollutants, pathogens and antimicrobial resistant bacteria from aquatic ecosystems (inland and marine) to human health and environment (“Evaluating”)
Theme 3 - Strategies to reduce emerging pollutants, pathogens and antimicrobial resistant bacteria in aquatic ecosystems (inland and marine) (“Taking Actions”)
We are in cooperation with Konya Water and Sewerage Administration and Ministry of Environment and Urbanization.
Konya Technical University has been acknowledged as one of the leading universities in Turkey on water research.
The Department of Environmental Engineering at Konya Technical University has a history of excellence on water quality monitoring and management, water reuse, wastewater treatment technology.
We have projects running at national and European levels.
